Austrian jazz pianist David Helbock belongs to the generation of young jazz musicians who are pushing the boundaries of their profession, radically changing the musical understanding of old and new, of composition and improvisation, of style and personality, and going their own way. His music is characterised by complex structures, improvisational depth and dynamic stage presence. Helbock is regarded as one of the most exciting voices in European jazz and tours regularly at international festivals and major concert halls worldwide.
