Jin Jim are one of the "absolute high-flyers in the German jazz scene" (NDR). Their stormy success was based on the innovation they manage with their music. Rightly so, if you look at their still short history, which now culminates in their ACT debut "Weiße Schatten". Latin, jazz and rock merge here with hitherto unknown force.

Jin Jim
Jin Jim is one of the "absolute shooting star bands in the German jazz scene" (NDR).Their rapid success is based on the innovation they bring to their music: Latin, jazz, and rock fuse with unprecedented force. They create rhythmically complex yet harmonically accessible music, drawing influences from flamenco, Indian music, and pop.The band's perfect harmony is achieved with guitarist Johann May, bassist Ben Tai Trawinski, and drummer Nico Stallmann laying the rhythmic foundation, over which Daniel Manrique-Smith's flute can soar. Manrique-Smith's flute ranges from a bright classical tone to the lightly aspirated, bright coloration of Latin American music and wild jazz solos. When Manrique-Smith hums, blows, and sings into his instrument, it might remind listeners of Ian Anderson from Jethro Tull.
