Cæcilie Norby
The Danish jazz singer was one of the first Scandinavian artists to be signed to Blue Note Records. She comes from a musical family and began her musical career in the 1980s as a member of the rock bands ‘Frontline’ and ‘One Two’ before devoting herself to jazz. Norby is known for her versatile voice and her ability to combine jazz with elements of pop, classical music and Scandinavian folklore. Over the course of her career, she has worked with numerous renowned musicians such as Lars Danielsson, Bugge Wesseltoft and Kurt Elling. Caecile Norby is recognised as one of the leading voices in European jazz and is particularly appreciated for her musical depth and expressiveness.
