Perico Sambeat
Since his formative years in the 1990s and 2000s when he frequently toured and recorded with Brad Mehldau and Kurt Rosenwinkel, the Catalan alto saxophonist Perico Sambeat has continued to gain significance.
With his "attractive, penetrating sound" (John Fordham, The Guardian), Sambeat is a natural and charismatic bandleader, and today, he is one of the central figures in Spanish jazz.
