Olaf Kübler
The Berlin-born saxophonist made a name for himself with his innovative contributions to jazz music of the 1950s and 1960s and was known for his virtuoso skills on the tenor saxophone. He played in various important formations, including the Albert Mangelsdorff Quartet and Peter Brötzmann's formation. Kübler was instrumental in the development of modern jazz, was a founding member of the band Passport and contributed to the establishment of free jazz in Germany.
