Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen
Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen, born in Kobenhagen, was a Danish double bassist who is considered one of the most outstanding bassists in 20th century jazz. Known for his technical brilliance and profound musical sensibility, he played with greats such as Oscar Peterson and Miles Davis and left a lasting impression on the international jazz scene. Pedersen excelled in traditional jazz as well as in modern and avant-garde contexts, cementing his reputation as an innovator and master of his instrument.
