Klaus Paier - Asja Valcic
The duo consists of the Austrian accordionist Klaus Paier and the Croatian cellist Asja Valcic, who have been playing together since 2009. Their music combines jazz, tango and classical elements, with the instruments engaging in an intense dialogue with each other. Paier brings his virtuosity and rhythmic variety to the accordion, while Valcic plays the cello with expressive depth and powerful dynamics. They have released several albums together, including ‘A Deux’ and ‘Timeless Suite’. The duo is regarded as one of the most creative projects at the interface between classical music and jazz.
