Jonas Knutsson
Born in Umeå, Sweden, the versatile saxophonist fuses jazz with Swedish folklore. His career began in the 1980s as a solo artist and in various ensembles, including a collaboration with Johan Norberg. Knutsson is recognised for his warm, melodious sound and his ability to integrate traditional Nordic music into modern jazz compositions. He has released numerous albums to date, including ‘Norrland’ and ‘Skaren: Norrland III’. Jonas Knutsson is recognised as one of Sweden's leading jazz musicians, continuously exploring the boundaries between jazz and folk music.
