Jan Johansson
The Swedish-born jazz pianist fused Swedish folk music and jazz in an outstanding way. He was a master of improvisation and was known for his ability to combine complex harmonic structures with melodic clarity. Despite his promising career, he died in a tragic car accident at the age of 37. His influence on Scandinavian jazz remains unbroken and his work remains an important reference for musicians and music lovers worldwide.
