Andreas Martin Hofmeir
Andreas Martin Hofmeir is a versatile musician. He is considered one of the world's leading tuba players. Hofmeir is a founding member of the Bavarian brass band ‘La Brass Banda’ and received the Echo Klassik award for ‘Instrumentalist of the Year’ in 2013. Hofmeir is also a professor of tuba at the University of Salzburg, where he passes on his extensive passion and experience to the next generation. In addition to his musical career, he also performs as a cabaret artist, combining music and humour with great virtuosity. Hofmeir is known for his passionate commitment to establishing the tuba as a solo instrument in the classical and popular music scene.
