"Flamenco and jazz are brothers," says pianist Daniel García, one of the most exciting voices of the new generation of Spanish jazz. This sums up what "Travesuras" is about: García dives deep into the music of his homeland and combines these influences with the vocabulary of the modern jazz piano trio. The result is independent and expressive music in which rhythmic intensity goes hand in hand with melodic richness, harmonic finesse and immense virtuosity.
