Matthias Schriefl
The Oberstdorf-born jazz trumpeter is known for his cross-genre and humorous musical approaches. He combines elements of jazz, folk music and classical music with virtuosity, which makes his performances and compositions particularly versatile. With projects such as ‘Shreefpunk’, he has made a name for himself on the European jazz scene and won numerous prizes. Schriefl is not only active as a musician, but also as a composer and has worked with international greats such as Michael Wollny and Nils Wogram. His music is characterised by a love of experimentation, virtuosity and a unique mix of humour and depth.
