Manu Katché is one of the greatest and most recognisable stylists on drums. Because of his special touch and his unmistakable mixture of elegance and power, he sits at the drums for world stars from pop and jazz. On "Live in Concert", recorded at the New Morning in Paris, he now presents an impressive cross-section of his compositions and at the same time celebrates his ACT debut.

Manu Katché
Manu Katché, one of the world's best drummers and bandleaders, is a member of the ACT Family of Artists. Manu Katché is in high demand both in live performances and in the studio, making him one of the most sought-after drummers of our time. As one of the most recognizable stylists of his instrument, he takes his place at the drums whenever his unique touch, his unmistakable blend of elegance and power, is required. He remains Peter Gabriel's drummer of choice to this day. His long-standing collaboration with Sting is equally significant. While the list of pop giants Katché has worked with could go on for a while, jazz has been a constant thread throughout his career from the very beginning. He became particularly well-known as a longtime member of the Jan Garbarek Group. Just as important as his drumming and collaborations with pop and jazz legends is his work as a composer and bandleader, a role he fulfills like few other drummers today. He has released seven internationally acclaimed albums under his own name. His compositions are marked by his sense of clear, melodic, and catchy themes, their brilliant flow, and their atmospheric and tonal depth.   They make it clear that both sides of Katché's musical personality—his role as an exceptional drummer and sonic magician, and his role as a composer and bandleader—complement each other perfectly.
