Soriba Kouyaté
Soriba Kouyaté was a Senegalese kora player who repeatedly combined traditional sounds with modern influences. He performed with world-famous artists and brought the music of his homeland to the international jazz and world music scene. His virtuoso improvisation and innovative style made him one of the leading kora players of his time. He died in 2010, leaving behind a musical legacy that is still appreciated by many musicians today.
