Berlin (ACT / Tambour) September 28th, 2021 Andreas Brandis, managing director of ACT Records and founder and managing director of Tambour Music Management, the booking, management and live division of the label, is bringing Patrick Weißenfels into the agency on October 1st, 2021.
With his extensive network, Weißenfels is one of the most established jazz agents in Germany and Europe. For Tambour he will be working as Head Of Artist & Concert Management in the future and, together with the existing team, continue the company's mission - to develop original concert formats and book and promote Europe-wide tours, as well as to support artists in all strategic matters and in their live activities. With Tambour Management, Andreas Brandis is sending a strong signal of growth into the future after difficult months for the entire live industry. And ACT strengthens its position as a 360-degree company in the areas of label, marketing & communication, booking, management and music publishing.
Andreas Brandis states: “I am very happy to have won Patrick over to our cause. He is an experienced agent who also, on various occasions, has successfully taken on the role of concert promoter. With all his experience and competence he is an excellent addition to our existing team. For Tambour Management, after a very good build-up phase, the next step must now be about developing further and being able to make even more creative and high-quality offers to our artists, but also to the audience and our partners in the live area. I wish Patrick and the whole team every success and look forward to what lies ahead. "
About: Patrick Weißenfels studied music and economics in Hamburg and Gent as well as law in Hagen. After a period at the legendary Berlin live music club ‘Quasimodo’, he has worked for the renowned music agency F-Cat Productions in recent years. There he played a key role in developing the agency's jazz profile, successfully organized concert evenings in large concert halls and was most recently responsible for wide-ranging areas of the agency business. He played a leading role in establishing jazz stars such as bassist Avishai Cohen or vocalist Cecile McLorin Salvant, as well as numerous other national and international acts in the European concert business.
